While not designed to be an exhaustive collection, this Toolkit contains a selection of resources for both healthcare professionals and patients.
Our resources for healthcare professionals include a medical decision making tool, which offers steps on picking the best pharmacotherapy based on patient characteristics, medication dosing charts, and information on appropriate treatment length, as well as pre-quit and extended treatment plans. Our 3 A’s tool reviews motivational interviewing techniques that can be used in a 15-minute office visit to talk to patients about tobacco cessation. Our tools geared toward patients use a worksheet format, covering topics such as managing smoking urges, mindful smoking, and building motivation by assessing strengths and challenges to quitting.
