The Association for the Treatment of Tobacco Use and Dependence (ATTUD) is inviting tobacco treatment professionals, educators, and policy advocates to participate in their video contest in recognition of World No Tobacco Day on May 31, an annual global campaign to raise awareness on the harmful effects of tobacco.
An organization of tobacco treatment specialists and researchers dedicated to promoting and increasing access to evidence-based tobacco treatment, ATTUD has members in nearly two dozen countries. This contest is a great opportunity for tobacco treatment specialists to share their best-practice innovations on a global platform.
According to the guidelines listed on ATTUD’s website, the content of the video must describe an evidence-based, innovative practice in tobacco treatment, treatment provider education, or tobacco control advocacy. Videos should be between 30 to 90 seconds in length.
First-place winner will receive $500, and second place will receive $250. Both winners will also be awarded a one-year ATTUD membership and have their videos displayed on ATTUD’s website as well as other tobacco control platforms.
All video entries must be submitted no later than 5 pm Eastern Standard Time, May 1st, 2022. Winners will be announced May 31st, 2022.
The Duke-UNC Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training Program prepares participants to earn their National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice. All program participants receive a free 6-month membership to ATTUD. Learn more about Duke-UNC TTS trainings here.
