How to Claim Your CE Certificate

CE credits are applicable to physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, social workers, nurses, educators, allied health professionals, and others. If you have questions about whether your licensing board accepts our course for credit, please inquire with that board before completing the course.

In support of improving patient care, Duke University Health System Clinical Education & Professional Development is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

As an IACET Accredited Provider Duke University Health System Clinical Education and Professional Development offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard. Duke University Health System Clinical Education and Professional Development is authorized by IACET to offer CEUs for these programs. Duke University Health System Clinical Education and Professional Development is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.

There are 3 steps to using Duke’s Continuing Education & Professional Development system in order to claim your CE certificate.

STEP 1: Register for a One Link Account
Please complete this step BEFORE your training.

Please note: You must use the same email address for this account that you provided when you registered for the training.

  1. Go to https://accounts.oit.duke.edu/onelink

  2. Click “Register Here”

  3. Fill out the fields on the page titled “Register to Use OneLink”

  4. Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page

  5. You will see a confirmation page indicating that you have been sent an invitation to activate a OneLink account to the email address you entered. This email will come from help@duke.edu.

  6. Click on the unique link to register with an external account (i.e., Gmail, Facebook, LinkedIn) or create a new username and password. After you complete this step, you should receive an email from help@duke.edu confirming the successful creation of your OneLink account.

STEP 2: Log in to the Duke CME System (Ethos) and Set Up Your Profile
Please complete this step BEFORE your training.

Please note: The learner type that you select will determine what type of hours your certificate will reflect. Please refer to this page for information on selecting the correct learner type. Once you have submitted your learner type, it cannot be changed.

  1. Go to https://ja.dh.duke.edu

  2. Click “Log In” in the UPPER RIGHTHAND CORNER of the page

  3. Log in to your account by selecting Log In with OneLink & entering your User ID/Password

  4. Click “My Account” in the TOP UPPER RIGHTHAND CORNER of the page

  5. Click “Edit"

  6. Click “Profile”

  7. Complete all fields with a red asterisk (*). If you do not have a BOARD NAME or DIPLOMATE NUMBER,

  8. please skip these fields

  9. Enter your DOB

  10. Click “Save” at the bottom of the page

 

You have now activated your Ethos account.

STEP 3: Complete the course evaluation and claim your certificate

You cannot complete this step until AFTER your training. Within one week of the conclusion of your training, you will receive an email from the Duke Continuing Education office with instructions to claim your certificate. Once you receive this email, you can follow the steps below to claim your CE certificate.

  1. Click on “My Account” in the upper right hand corner of the page

  2. Click on “My Activities”

  3. Click on the “Pending Activities” tab to find the course.

    • If you do not see the course in Pending Activities, please log out and log back in.

    • If the course still does not appear in Pending Activities, please email zaneta.heartwell@duke.edu and request that she add it to your account.

  4. Click on the link to the course

  5. On the following page, click on “Take Course”

  6. Complete the course evaluation

  7. Attest to your hours of attendance

  8. Download your certificate
