National Certification Options for TTS Program Participants

National certification as a tobacco treatment professional is an opportunity to demonstrate to employers, patients, and third-party stakeholders that you have acquired the skills and knowledge to effectively treat tobacco use in your patients and populations.

The landscape of certification as a tobacco treatment professional is changing, with two new certification programs now available to our TTS trainees.

Please use the links on this page to explore the two certification options to determine which is right for you.

The Duke-UNC Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training Program is nationally accredited by the Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs. Completion of a nationally accredited TTS course is required for individuals who wish to pursue either of these certification options.

Duke-UNC TTS always recommends that you visit the respective certification program websites for the most updated information, as requirements can change.

Please contact our office for more information about our nationally accredited, virtual TTS training programs.
