Established in 2016, the Duke-UNC Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training Program is a collaboration of three leaders in tobacco treatment, education, and research: Duke Smoking Cessation Program, University of North Carolina Tobacco Treatment Program, and the NC Division of Public Health.
Our leadership team brings together the expertise of our three program partners to offer education in evidence-based tobacco treatment for individuals and populations. Our larger training team from over 25 diverse institutions and organizations within North Carolina and beyond supports our leadership team and brings additional depth to our course curricula. We are proud of the collective expertise and experience reflected in our training team and value the richness that our training team brings as guest presenters, subject matter experts, group facilitators, and support staff.
